I'm not sure why I never replied to this message, it got lost somewhere
in my mail backlog. Anyway, I can tell you that the latest version of
laptop-mode-tools (1.47) supports intel HDA power saving. So download
the package (it's in the Debian unstable repository, and also available
on the laptop mode tools website) and enjoy!
