[laptop-mode] AC vs. Battery snd_hda_intel powersave

Hello,

I have an HP mini 1000 laptop (or netbook if you like) and I have a small
problem with enabling power save mode on the snd_hda_intel module: about a
second after playing a sound the speakers switch off (as expected), but this
produces an audible click. It's mildly annoying, so I have to decide if I
prefer to waste a bit of power or to bear with the click - obviously this is a
bug and hopefully it will be solved at some point, but that's not the point
here. The point is that I'd like to enable powersave mode while on battery,
but disable it while on AC power. But the file to configure this says that
enabling powersave mode does not hurt, so they don't give an option for
battery and AC. In my case, it does hurt a bit, and I guess there will always
be others with some similar problem. So my request is: could this feature be
implemented? It's just natural to have the option in the same way as with all
other settings.

Meanwhile, could I manually put something in that file that would do the trick
for me?

Thanks.
Alberto.
