Hi all,
I recently upgraded to laptop-mode-tools v1.50, and got the following error on
every start:
/usr/sbin/laptop_mode: line 207: [: : integer expression expected
A quick glance on that line points out it is caused by $DEBUG being empty
(probably undefined). It seems this config value is new in 1.50, since I also
saw that the new default configuration has a DEBUG=0 line. However, I kept my
old configuration, since I made a bunch of other changes.
So, I think that laptop-mode-tools doesn't have an internal default for the
DEBUG setting, while I think it should have (it has default values for other
settings as well, right?).
I haven't tried the latest version that was just released, but I didn't find
anything related in the changelog. Reproducing this issue should be easy: Just
remove any DEBUG= line from your configuration.
I haven't got time right now to prepare a proper patch, but the fix should be
pretty trivial.
Gr.
Matthijs
